Dumb Ass..

    I have a Gateway PIII700, with 384 megs RAM, and a 20 GIG IBM ATA66 hard drive..

Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a dumb-ass when it comes to hardware...

I want to bring my PC speed up to modern standards.. Can I leverage the Gateway HW, i.e. use the case, Hard-drive, RAM etc., or should I just sell it all for peanuts and buy&build the kind of bundle system available on Komplett.ie? I want to ultimately by a GeForce4 card type of thing..

    Any advice greatly appreciated...

Buy an upgade kit form peats or even better Komplett.ie

Same you a load of cash and get you up to speed real fast.
Just try and leverage the cost by selling what you have even if its only the RAm and CPU will help finance your upgrade.
