Have any of you esteemed board members/phone shop employees seen the new 3510 yet. How much is it on a Vodafone upgrade, or have they started selling them yet? And how does the polyphonic ringing sound??

It's probably going to become the new ubiquitous phone, like the 3310/3330 now or the 3210 was before that. It's more or less the same as it's predecessors. It's aimed at the youth market with it's polyphonic ringtones (which are alright, but nothing to write home about) and MMS capability i.e. sending pictures/sounds etc. to other MMS capable phones. It's quite big though, heavy enough & the although the screen is large enough, the menu system still feels cluttered.

I don't know how much it's going to cost when it comes out (it's almost ready for release) but I'd say you can expect it to be around the same price as the 3310/3330 phone's were when they first came out.

Thanks for the info Fidelis. When you say its 'ready for release', do you mean days, weeks, months, because any phone shop I've checked in Galway, they don't seem to have any idea when it'll be released.

I've been a great fan of the 3310 since it came out — they're so durable. I have this one, must be for three years and there hasn't been a problem with it, despite numerous drunken accidents. Was thinking about getting a 6510 yesterday, until I checked the specs of the 3510 on the nokia site and saw there's a 13 DAY standby time on the battery — you can't go wrong with that. I think I'll wait for the new one to be released.

Is it much heavier/fatter than the 3310?
