Right, basically, I've neglected Diablo 2 'Lord Of Destruction' for some time now (You tend to get bored with repeatetive games like this one) but have got back into it in a big way...

My level 74 Necromancer (A Patriarch) is good, but extremely flawed (he was the first character I made - First characters always are) and so I've rekindled my interest in D2 by starting over with a new one (Necromancer is, in my humble opinion, the most easy to use and quite possibly the best character in the entire damn game) who is currently level 36.

Along with him, my current characters include a level 57 Assassin, level 55 Druid, level 37 Paladin, and an expired level 68 Amazon which I deleted in frustration before the LOD Patch...

Why are you posting this drivel, I hear some of you enquire, well I just thought It'd be interesting to see if anyone actually bothers playing it anymore, and if they do, what type of characters do you have, what nice items have you discovered in the LOD Add-On, when/will a new patch or Add-On will be released etc etc etc

Anything and Everything Diablo, Diablo 2 or Lord Of Destruction...

    Discuss.

I got bored of playing online and getting my ass whopped by cheaters so i got some editors for the game and made some super powerful chars and items.
Went back online and was able to beat most cheaters with my fists.
Brill single player but as for online dont play open battlenet unless your ready to cheat or be cheated.

I thought the Barbarian was the easiest character in the game with his brute force.

    Must start playing again actually.
I'll put it right after Gunman and HL.

I'll put it right after Gunman and HL.
same as that, played thru gunman last week & opposing force, blue shift & hl the week before that.
i loved diablo1, but have never even played diablo2. is it worth getting at this stage, or are there better rpg's out there?

Well worth getting, especially with the expansion pack...
I, too, used to love Diablo 1, and can remember back to when I would troll on down to AngelWhore's house and have multiple two player campaigns on his playstation.

He'd be the Warrior and I'd be the good old Mage.
His Axe failed to cut the cheese, and he often found himself being obliterated by my obese fireballs of destruction (By accident mind) - I still have my characters on a PSX Memory card.

    'RopeDrink' level 52 Sorcerer.

As for Diablo 2 (With the expansion) you now have, rather than three characters to choose from ala Diablo 1, SEVEN to work on. The graphics are supreme in comparison to Diablo 1, sounds, environment, atmosphere etc Yet it's just as repeatetive (Which you'll get used to once you start finding Uniques / Rares / Class Specific / Socketed / Ethereal Items and Charms / Jewels / Gems etc etc etc)

I'd like to take the time to state that, after three days of intense training my necromancer has now reached level 54 and it owning quite nicely (Not that anyone cares)

Seriously, are there any MORE patches / add-ons being released at any stage, does anyone know!?

i have a level 99 sorceress on the europe server, its an expansion character

the rest of my characters are mules :)

i have tonnes of items, the only reason i stopped playing is because i lost my LOD cd :(

if i found it again id start playing.

the necromancer is a great character if you specialise in curses and bone spells, summons are a bit dire unless you specialise, i had a level 18 blood golem wich was nice, combined with regenerative items the life loss isnt so bad.

but alltogether the sorceress is probably the best level 20 firewall does like 5000+ damage

I have a level 35 Sorc that Im bored of at present.
My newest Necro has everything put into Golem Asteries and Fire golem, as opposed to my lvl75 Necro who has skills all over the shop. Used to love Blood Golem until you come across some obese bollocks who smacked him around the shop leaving him, and you, lifeless...

Life Tap & Decrepify are my Dastadrly Duo of Curses, Corpse Explosion and Bone Spirit for all out offensiveness.

Jaggeh, can't you get LOD Burned by someone or something!?

    I've a level 74 & 51 Barbarian a level 76 Amazon, a level 67 Druid and a level 32 Paladin.
My high level barbarian and druid are crap though, didn't think when I was assigning points to them. I'm being more selective with my level 51 though.

I've tried to start an assassin twice but I didn't like the character at all. They're too weak at a low level.
The Necro I find increases the lag when playing on Battlenet too me thinks.
LOD is much better, I like the Druid and the other added extras including the extra stash. Though Baal is significantly easier to kill than Diablo too.

I played Hardcore for a while but it was too nerve wrecking to try and keep them alive. Plus the fact that player killers come in and kill you just for the fun :(
I'd like to take the time to state that, after three days of intense training my necromancer has now reached level 54 and it owning quite nicely (Not that anyone cares)

I care!! :) I started my Barb on saturday afternoon and he's now level 51 :D
when/will a new patch or Add-On will be released etc etc etc

I think there's a new patch coming out either next month or the month after, which will include 'fixes' to the cow level.

Why thank you my good man!

My high level assasin is amazing.
If you work with her long enough, you'll realise how easy it is to slaughter everything.

    Try this combo out.
    Assasin:
Left Mouse Assigned to Cobra Strike, Right Mouse assigned to Normal Attack. Use your burst of speed for extreme running / attacking speed and just run into the fray. You will NOT be slain (Only until immune to physical bugger come into play, then the plan goes out the window - Unless you have a high level trap avaliable, which will help out a lot...)

I love the Assassin - She's the underdog, and everyone I know detests her. Necro causes lag due to the ressurected creatures / skeletons and Golems... If you refrain from using them, there should be no lag really.

Can't imagine having a necro without the resurrected creatures really though:)

As for the Assassin I will have a high Assassin someday ;) once I get bored of my Barbarian maybe :)
