a7v333 bios update -> blank screen

    using Win98 SE. pc working fine until I decided to upgrade the bios using asus update. choose flash bios then rebooted to blank screen. seems like asus have problems with updater or bios chips.

    I didn't make a copy of my old bios. but i tried a flash bootable disk and also tried adjusting the jumpers away from jumperfree.

    is there any way to reset the CMOS? or any way to get into something to change the bios.

    looks like RMA anyway .. *sigh*

    512MB PC2700 DDR (333MHz)
    Asus A7V333 raid
    MAXOR 80GB 7200rpm
    Win98 SE
    GF4 MX 460
    Creative Audigy
    (which is irrelevent in any case)

    after u flashed did u reset the bios?

    after I flashed it asked to be rebooted. I couldn't reset the bios after i rebooted.

    when i tried to boot a flash disk it wouldn't boot from the floppy (floppy drive wouldn't work)
