Athlon MP2100 or XP2100 ?

I'm think of upgrading my aging Athlon 1200. Whilst looking for prices I came across two types of Atlon 2100, the MP and the XP. What's the difference ? Also, I reckon I will need to upgrade my mobo too, I currently have an ASUS A7V 133. Any recommendations ?

Only get the MP if you plan on using dual Athlons, but they are dearer than the standard XP. I read somewhere that crossing bridges on the XP you can make it an MP also.

Yeah its possible to change it but it can destroy the chip
