    Hello there,

Balls Up: Episode 1 is a new innovative game using the Havok physics engine to implement some very cool puzzles!

You can download the full 18 level ( 7Mb ) version from...

    http://www.candogames.com/ballsup

It runs on Windoze 95/98/2000/ME/XP and required a P2/400 + 3D card ( even a petrol powered machine should run it! ) and costs 15 bucks ( about 10 quid ).

This is one of the first games to utilise Shockwave 3D in a commercial environment, as well as incorporating a fully-playable online 3D demo version located on our main website at http://www.candogames.com

All comments and suggestions are welcome...

    Thanks KDJA,

Any older gameplayers out there will fondly remember some classics like Gravitar and Thrust as being influences on this game.

The realistic physics give it that extra touch of realism...

I liked it, fond memories of Thrust alright :)

Still tho, I don't see what I'm hitting when my energy bar goes down. and the ship seemed to disappear when going left on level 2 or 3 (can't remem).

    /me shrugs

    gg tho, plyd.

    Hi Malachy,

Downloaded it yesterday, spent a frustrating / enjoyable half hour playing it last night!!

    I want more :)

Loved the level where you have to lob 3 coloured balls into slots along a wall ... inertia basketball!

When is episode 2 coming out?

    - Dave.

If I remember correctly, the when you finished the original thrust, you did all levels in anti-gravity, followed by all levels in zero gravity....

Just a though for future enhancement. :)

Actually, I downloaded a brilliant PC remake of Thrust a few months ago. Must see if I can dig up a link for it.

    - Dave.

    Hiya all,

    > If I remember correctly, the when you finished the original thrust, you did all levels in anti-gravity, followed by all levels in zero gravity....

We had considered something similar, but the placement of the pods made this tricky. There is a crazy speed option in the main menu though!

    > Annoying whistle sound!

Don't get killed as much!!! :)

This'd work..... rotate levels 180 degrees, and implement anti gravity :)

    I think it would work....

Or just turn the camera upside down!

I'll look into implementing that and see if it's not too weird!

Download the latest version at http://www.candogames.com/ballsup for a version which supports an anti-gravity mode.

We re-implemented the code, tweaked a few things and it seemed stable enough to put in the full version.

Dave, send me the code for your game and I'll get you a free registration code ( mal@candogames.com )

    Cheers...
