When I was using Win 98 you just went into device manager, right clicked on the drive and changed it from say D: to E:.
But I am now using XP Pro and this does not work any ideas?
    Cheers

I didnt know Win98 would let you change the drive letter on drives... i must sound like a noob :D

It might be similar to win2k ... in win2k i go to:
    Start > Programs > Admin **** > Computer Managment

Then go to the Disc Management section.. right click on the drive and change it. It might be similar but im not sure... have yet to use XP

    Aye, WinNT/2k/XP are different.

open Administrative Tools-->Computer Management-->Disk Management (under "Storage")

Right-click on the drive you want to change and click "change drive letter and path"

    Edit it rather than "add"

I'm sure it's a just down chaging a reg setting.

The last time I wanted to change the drive letter I was doing

MSCDEX.EXE /L:[drive_letter] (which was for DOS in the days of Win3.1, incase you hadn't noticed) :)
