    Most people know www.imdb.com, probably the most comprehensive on-line database for movies and actors, but my question is is there some kind of equivilant site for Music? I'd love to have a site where I could just type in a name of a band and get a list of their albums/singles as well as reviews etc. Fan sites are just too tedious IMHO.

    aye allmusics probably the best out there even though its missing a lot, but the vast majority of groups/albums are listed along with reviews etc.
    always found that "similar groups" thing to be way off tho :)
