Tenacious D do not sing that song. It is not on their one and only album nor have Jack or Kyle ever heard of it's existence. It is a lie dammit.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 444 ✭✭s0l

meh, it might not have been Tenacious D, but I do have a mp3 which claims to be by them . . .
and its a live recording so it may be a bootleg. but then again names off kazaa havent always been completely correct, like that time i downloaded a file which by the name of it looked like afi live, but it turned out to be pr0n, oh how i laughed :p
    one album maybe,
but they have had more than one recorded cd
around 41, but comercial releases are differant things

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭oq4v3ht0u76kf2

Hmm, I was counting published CDs. But still, The D did not sing the eskimo song. They even announced it at their concert dammit!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 444 ✭✭s0l

well all I'm going off is the information off cddb, which in my experience is usually correct.
but I did a search for "gay eskimo" in the song category off the cddb.com main page and found that on 3 of there cds, all live ones, they preformed it, one of these is the one I have, so yes they did sing the eksimo song, might not have wrote it, but they werent telling the truth at the concert, but I am curious as to how the subject of that song came up.
but dont mind me, Its late, I'm irratable, I have even less skill in spelling then usual, but my NT jsut hit lvl 28! woop! pity there still a **** class :( (I over love to anyone who knows wtf I'm talking about)

    Hmm...
I don't really feel the need to justify myself on a web board,BUT!:!:

I was merely mocking Nickleback for being manufactured pieces of poo , not you.It was quite a contrast to all the other bands on your list.
And,as for my "musical cul-de-sac", I can easily prove you wrong by the fact I listen to Jazz and Classical too.And 95% of your choices are rock/metal ones too.
    Practice what you preach

    But I still love you.Physically,too.:P
    So,ha

Someone in the crowd shouted for them to sing the Gay Eskimo song and Kyle shouted we don't sing that ****ing song. He didn't put in an 'anymore' so I assumed they had never sung it.
