Does anyone know much about temping agencies? Typically I'm wondering if data entry, database updating, or anything NOT requiring answering the phones is available from these agencies?

Oh yeah, does anyone know where the temping agencies are?

i know there is one one south anne street of grafton street. but im not sure if its just for office work.
give them a buzz and the should be abel to give you the names of some other agencies
as far as i know most places do temping.
and lets face it, temping is just the same as contracting, just much shorter smile.gif

You should find them under Employment Agencies or similar in the Golden pages. Make sure they are licenced. Make sure you get a written agreement for every contract.Make sure you always get paid on time - some are less than scrupleous.

PS Greenbean were you offering accommodation - Trojan was telling people to contact you on the Accommodation board.

Not really, I've gotten the "you'll have to wait" line a few times, even with temping agencies you are advised to contact companies directly. Eh, I've sorta got dissillusioned, there are a few cleaning jobs etc - but I can do this at home in donegal helping the family business and save myself foodbills. In the meantime its about being opportunistic and waiting things out.

It's with Lotus Notes, they have to pay you astonishing cash to handle that product. Consider it danger money.

whatever you say about MS, at least you know its going to do most of what it says on the time, at least half the time anyway...

Well yes. There's also the bonus with MS stuff that it least it doesn't suck so hard that some aggrieved user is bound to hunt you down and boil you in your own urine for forcing him to use L*tus Scro*es.
