Problem with a legacy system which requires COM2 & 3 support under DOS. Have tried Lava Serial PCI which will allow remapping of serial ports under Win3.1 and up, but can't find any cards which will support serial PCI ports under DOS (only way I could see it being done is with a device driver in config.sys). Anyone?, or should I start looking for new build PC's with ISA slots.

Have you considered using a DOS emulator which might virtualize the serial port hardware? Something like VMWare for Windows/Linux or DOSemu under Linux?

Never heard of them, but will try to get hold of VMWare for Win and see if supports them
