There are 3 versions of winamp you can download. You probably haven't got the right version. Only the full version can play WMAs.

    See here for more info:

Mossy Monk - Are you on Windows XP. I have the same full version on my desktop with XP and my laptop with Windows 98. It only works on the laptop. Something to do with ASPI drivers I think.

I don't think ASPI drivers affect whether MP3s/WMAs play or not. It could, however, affect whether or not a music CD will play in your CD Drive.

TmB. Maybe so. But can you explain why .wma files won't play in Winamp on my desktop but will on my laptop. I'd love to sort this problem out because all of the convertors I have installed as listed in this thread won't convert the .wma's for me. I think the problems are related.
