Rented it yesterday and they had it for sale too. Naughty but nice. Lovely preview of The Two Towers also.

Golden Discs still at that then? They've been doing it for years and years.

With CDWOW and others sending out LOTR (and other movies)weeks before release date someone's going to clamp down one of the days (maybe)

we got a ph call on friday telling us to put it out now
one of the store spy's musta spotted them
35 euros to buy the dvd

I categorically refuse to buy two versions of the same film on DVD, just because the one with the extras I really want is coming out later.

I'll get the 4-disc version, just in time to really get me going for the release of TTT (T-cubed?) in the cinema.

i heard it was actually golden discs first, then chartbusters, then us. it's hilarious- there's a huge cardboard display right beside our counter full of lotr dvds and vidos, and still i have people holding up a box and asking me "is this out yet?" MORON!!!!!!!!!
oh, and €35 is cheaper than anywhere else i've seen!
chartbusters have been very naughty indeed- i also heard that they're illegally renting out retail copies of training day.

That's hardly such an unreasonable question, considering on
those same cardboard notices it says "Out on 6th August".

And it wouldn't be the first time that empty boxes have been put out in "preparation" for the big sale rush......

Yup, take a wander into Game anytime - though at least all the boxes have "available for preorder" or something letting you know they don't have it yet.
