    Does anyone know how to get red alert to un on xp cause it won't even let me install it let alone run the compatability test on it :confused:

    you have to set the setup on the cd to Win95 or Win98/ME Compatibility mode. It works fine then.

    The only problem im having is getting a network game going under XP. Anyone tried yet ?

    You have to fiddle about with the network addapter settings(in game)

    I have it runing on XP pro fine - no problems, didnt need to tweak anything to get it to run.

    I did how ever have to change one of the network options in the 'network' screen from the main menu - to get it to see a lan game.

    The origional red alert kinda sucks, I would strongly advise getting aftermath + counterstrike aswell, they work on winXP fine (i had same probs with norm RA) and with normal RA getting y our sound working is a git and it only does 640x480 res (lower i think actually...) which means a construction yard takes up 1/4 of a screen :o
    Should be able to get either of the expansion packs for a on-line for pennies, or you could download them, may be abandoneware, if not download them 'elsewhere'.

    I dont have a 'network screen'. I have null modem, answer modem and dial modem, when I click into multiplyer. I have the 2 exspansions aswell..

    What settings did you change exactly ?
