Win XP and Elite 2 ???

a friend of mine has asked me to post up a message to try and find out if anyone knows anything that might help him run Elite 2 on Windows XP, he has tried changing the compatability for 98,95 etc... but nothing worked. Has anyone else gotten it to work on XP? if so...got any tips?

There is a win32 replacement exe available for it, take a look at some of the frontier sites it should still be about.
