Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

If I cancel my sky subscription, do I get any channels that are free. Or do I lose everything. I got an FTV card yesterday and now I am considering cancelling my subscription.

    Thanks
    Michael

The channels you get would be exactly the same if you turned on your digibox on, with all the cards out.

Though this list is not complete, heres a sample.

Sky News, CNN, QVC, BBC PARLIAMENT, Shop, TV Travel Shop,Sky News Active, ITN News Channel, Radio service. Other non-subscription channels also available. (Pulled from here http://www.iolfree.ie/~icdg/sky_digital.htm )

Also, the BBC Radio channels appear back at their EPG positions.

Are you sure Damo? An expired Sky card in the UK continues to give all FTV channels, thus an ex-subscriber has no need to go to the hassle of ordering an FTV card. I bought my Digibox second hand from an ex-subscriber and got all his subscription channels for a month after his sub ended, now I just use it as an FTV card (which is how he'd advertised it at the time)

    Ah, this is the diff.

If he uses the British FTV card, he'll have all the channels it brings plus the FTA stuff, but if he is cancelling his Irish card, it will revert to what we would see if the card is not even there.

Basically, you'll get anything thats a news or shopping channel, or a radio station. (Except the usual caveats, BBC News 24, Radio 5 Live, and TalkSport)

Take out your viewing card and take a scroll through the EPG...

BTW, remember you have to wait for your twelve month contract to expire.
