remote & batteries

just changed the batteries in my remote and noticed a message inside. Says to replace the batteries within 10 minutes of taking out the old ones. What happens if you don't?

Not sure but i think if you dont change the batteries within 10 minutes, the remote control code for your tv will be lost meaning you will to get the code and enter it again. There is different code for different brands. Example: Sony , Black Diamond Etc.
