Anyone fancy a punt in the first prediction thread of the new season? Here's mine: -

    Arsenal 2
    Liverpool 1

    Sad to say...

    Mike.

    I`d say 3-1 to Liverpool

When did the Charity Shield change name?

1-0 to the Arse comforatable in the end altough Pool threathened marginally in the second half not really impressed with Pool Diof only showed a glimpse of what he is capable of doing, pitty he had to dive to ruin some very good skill, They seem to never dominate games, and they don't have any adequate cover in defence take Hypia and Henchoz out of the equation and you've only really got Babbel.

GG Arsenal the best team won. It was a terrible Liverpool performance tbh, the 4-3-1-2 does not seem to suit. Although it was great to see marcus back playing and to see Baros getting a game. In fairness the referee went overboard with yellow cards. Most of the tackles werent that bad apart from the tackle on Henry by Gerrard after he was booked. Anyway roll on the season it should be interesting.

Liverpool were just awful, they haven't learned from last year at all and they're still lumping the ball upfield at every opportunity and immediately losing it. I just don't understand why Houllier doesn't grasp that if you can't keep the ball and play football (especially with the great players the pool have got) you will not win anything. They were embarassing today. Diouf looks like he'll be fun though.

Diof was bought as a striker he played the free role today. Houllier has think about this he can either play Heskey Owen Owen Diof or the 3.

Like the SPL is see only two teams capable of winning the Premiership this year

    Arsenal and Man U

    Liverpool-third

and a race btween Newcastle ,Leeds etc. for the fourth CL place

As Im not a big fan of the Premiership the things Il be watching most for is Clinton Morrison to continue his good form from Div1.
O Shea to break into the Man U full team on a perminent basis.
Duff to carry his world cup form into this season and progress further

In Div one Im hoping Sadliar will stay injury free and continue to improve as well as his team mate Stephen Reid
