Hey here is an issue i am having with my website now and need a more expericenced view.

We are a modding website and we host files for MOHA mainly maps.

2 mappers submitted files to us which unknown to us contained porn images(wont go into detail ) but they could be seen by minors Mohaa has a lot of young kids playing it and it was accessible to them to see these images.

At a rough count there is 20 websites hosting these files and we are the only ones who know about it.

We banned the 2 mappers and deleted the files until we got an apology and they resubmitted the maps porn free.

Both have done so,we are putting together a disclaimer on our front page to state we did not know about this.

We will inform all the other websites when our disclaimer is complete.

Have he handled this correctly???

Are we liable to be sued by parents for giving their kids porn??

If you dont think its suitable, dont put it on your webby, also Disclaim Everything!

Ya did the right thing....
The mappers should of had more sence then to add porn to the files. Its best to inform the other sites too..

Well you have acted responsibly once the problem was detected and moved to stop the further distribution of the files. The disclaimer should state that files are downloaded at users' own risk. Most of the big file swamps should have disclaimers that be good examples.

what kind of porn was it? was it the kind that was around during the WW2 with pinup models or just downright excessive hardcore kind of the year we're living in?
