overheating HD's ?

Lo, t'was wondering, do mac's have issues with overheating harddrives ? Over the last week, I've had 4 harddrive failures 2 in Imacs, 2 in G4's ? I always notice, when I put my hand to the back of a Imac, the heat is unreal
