    ...from enn today

Ericsson has announced a partnership with Esat BT's business services and solutions division, to deploy Ireland's first DSL solution specifically designed for the business market. The contract award is in the value of EUR25 million. The first area to gain access was Limerick in April this year. Ballina, Thurles and Churchfield will all come onstream at the end of August.

There is an article mentioned (at least in headline form) on http://www.enn.ie this morning, regarding ESAT BT deploying ADSL to more exchanges.

Problem is I cannot seem to find the content, just the headline - on the enn.ie site. Has anyone got a link to the article? What is the latest state of play with ADSL equipped exchanges in Dublin?

    Hi

Either some PR fluff has relaunched this story AGAIN or else ENN has finally found the press release on a desk and uploaded it or .......wait a sec !

Limerick Ballina and Churchfields (in Cork ISTR) have been imminent since......emmmmm......April or so and thats according to .....emmmmmmm....... ENN of all people.

It is a tribute to the exhaustive professionalism of their journalism that they comprehensively searched their own site before they repeated what they told us 4 months ago except that the list is a tad different and that they have not provided any explanation as to why it is different.

I've heard that they've been doing stuff in Waterford, and are/were trying to do it in Enniscorthy and Wexford towns.

Enniscorthy council okay'ed Esat's request, and they made changes in the planned route of the cable-laying, and limited digging and disruption to 3 Sundays.

So things are at least happening on paper.

    One can only hope.....
