The Guru (mame dev team) dumped this in the last day or two, Its not released yet and isn't supported under the current viva nonno anyway as its the world revision. So as soon as he gets on to the viva team and they release a new version of the emu (assuming that his dump is correct), rave racer will be out soon.

Found a link for the rom at emuchina www.emuchina.org

You don't have to look too hard for it. Although reading the posts it stated that the link won't be up for that long. I'm grabbing it at the moment, decent enuf speed on 56k dial up.

Lets hope there's a new release of viva in the coming days.

Grabbed it off ABEM when it was upped late last night by kai.
Viva is "supposed" to be updated with support for victory lap and rave racer this evening.

I've seen ABEM mentioned on a few sites. But what is it ? Website ? FTP ? Newsgroup ? How/where do I get access to it (for future reference) ?

Anyone who wants either of these roms can PM me (or i can just post the link to where i'm serving them from - if the mods dont mind)
As most places will more than likely be hammered for the next little while, especially if the romset is emulated tonite.

Its just the newsgroups (ABEM - alt.binaries.emulators.mame)
Its where pretty much every dump goes just after release. Just download a news reading client, theres loads of them.

just out of curiousity , Have they actually announced when
the next release is set to come out ?
Is the Viva Nonno team gonna support the World Revision ?
I know bugs mentioned some of this already but
if there was any official info released ?

The new viva release is out !
the only thing is we have to rename most of the World Revision
    files to .bin and such.
I have been bombing around on a few tracks there but
it doesnt run too great on my machine (low fps).
Anyways , Its here at last. :D

20 megs for rave racer = fook off :)

Its great, runs a little slower than ridge racer 2, but is still the best of the ridge series.
Well worth the download, looks great even with textures reduced. Altho, i'd love a bigger monitor and a nice cpu with a geforce 4 to run it nicely.

Hopefully the warez kiddies will shut up for a while and the emulator might get updated properly, maybe some performance increases and options.

this game is amazing, i got all your wishes bugs but i still cant get it to run on no reduce :( i have it speeding along 64fps on 1/2 reduce, but when i try for no reduce it hangs

i love the music in ridge racer 2, is there a way of importing some music files into rave race?

whats your fastest lap for the first course? i got a 49.934 :)

Yeah , tis good alright but as bugs said it
does run a little slower than Ridge Racer 2.
I also noticed that it hangs when you
    select No Reduce.
I'm just happy its here and working. :D
