    There are rumours that this is actually based on the pentium III, it will be very interesting to see how it performs anyway. I think the current pentium 4 powered laptops are quite ridiculous. If you run on batteries, a 2ghz will step back to roughly 1.6ghz. Still though, under full load the battery life on p4 laptops is usually quite rubbish. There are also reports that the p4 laptops are sometimes running so hot that the chip goes into throttling more, which will slow it further.
