Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I was just browsing the sticky thread there, good idea btw DeV, but I was just wondering if it was possible to have a little pop-up window evertime you receive a PM. Can it be done?

    When Im online and Im sent a PM, I get a warning window.
    Not sure if there's an option that needs to be turned on or what, but there IS one.

    Of course, you wont be told if you've recieved PM's whilst offline (Which could be handy) but there IS that little display at the bottom of the Board List that tells you your Inbox status.

    There is a way to do it...i had it on one of my sites .... though i had it in ASP. Its just an include page that checks if you have a new pm then if you do opens a new window .... very simple. Im amazed it doesnt work on boards.

    There is an option to turn on/off this in the User CP though it doesnt' work either way. It is possible in vBulletin though maybe its disabled in Admin Panel?

    Even with the Function turned on, it never seems to popup when I am online and I get a PM. Strange........

    I think that there should be a little indicator that comes up on the boards itself, maybe the space between the boards.ie logo and the advertisement. An example of it is on the pantera.com Bulletin Board.
