cd-r problem

i have a memorex 1032 cd-rw when i had win 98 installed 1 in every 10 cds would fail to burn the pc would just reboot when it gets to about 20% now i have win 2k installed and every cd fails in nero the pc reboots and in clone cd i get an error time to by a new cd-rw ? :(

Go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager.
Right click on your CDRW and view its properties, see if it flags any errors or conflicts here.

You need to provide more info. such as,
1 Is the CDRW on its own IDE channel ? If not what else does it share with ?
2 Are these errors happening when recording from CD to CD in real time, or when even using a temp directory ?
3. Are the master/slave settings right on the CDRW ?
4. You have up-to-date drivers for CDRW ?
5. Up-to-date version of NERO, Win2k (service packs etc..)
