you ever bought for yourself. I am not talking about presents or your siblings collection. I am talking about what was your first metal album you ever bought for yourself with your own money.

Mine was Megadeth, Peace Sells, and hell I still love that album today, time has been kind.

Fun House by Iggy and The Stooges from 1970 I think. They were a big influence on both metal and punk bands.

Korn's Issues (shite album btw) and I'm ashamed for doing it. When I got it and listened to it I was like "hmm, this is different". The only other korn album I had heard was Life is Peachy (which I had on tape from my cousin) and Issues was completely crap and boring in comparison.

Both the Guns'N'Roses "Use Your Illusion" albums
followed swiftly by Metallica's self-titled 'black album'.
