A friend of mine bought one and the following worked for him but not first time. Turns out he thought the index buton(not labeled) was a different button. This might be your problem aswell.

Press the Menu button on the Remote

    Press the 1 button

    Press the 6 button

    Press the 7 button

    Press the Mute button

Converting this player for VCD playback:

Press the Open button on the Remote to open the drive tray

Place an audio CD in the drive tray

Press the Open button on the Remote to close the drive tray

    Press the Menu button

    Press the 1 button

    Press the Index (1-All) button

    Press the Open button

    Press the 1 button

I thought that the crown machines where rebadged daewoo players.

the hack that i tried was

    1. Press the Stop button on your remote control
    2. Press the 4 button on your remote control
    3. Press the 4 button on your remote control
    4. Press the 0 button on your remote control
    5. Press the 8 button on your remote control
    6. For Region 1, press the 1 button on your remote control, for Region two press 2, and so on, or press 0 for multi-region playback
    7. The onscreen display should indicate the changed region. If nothing happens repeat the above steps but press the indicated buttons in a faster sequence.

I tried this a few times to no avail :(:/

I have one of the Crown players and I got the multi-region hack to work but the secret was NOT to use the remote to input the key sequence but rather do it manually on the front of the actual unit.

The remote seems to be a bit insensitive to sequential button presses. I have imported a few Region 1 DVDs and they have worked no problemo.

I got one, and used the remote hack from here

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayershack.php?select=Daewoo%20DVG-3000N

Dont recall which one at the moment

Was short one I think its this:

    press power
    press >>
    press I<<
    press >>I
    factory menu displayed
    chose the region

Try a few and see, if it doesnt work post back here and ill try them on my player again and find the one that reveals the hidden menu.

    Vex
