Saw this on the front of the Lidl leeflet for only 50 euros. It was originally 70 euros but i've never seen this thing before so i don't know where this 70 euros came from. Anyway i need new speakers and i was wondering if this was worth it? Also i don't need a 5.1 sound card do I?

Yes you need a 5.1 card.

keithwhir, if no-one replies it means either
    a) no-one has anything to say
    or
    b) no one cares.

Posting twice won't make the little web monkeys change their mind. :)

I bought a set of the said 5.1 speakers a few months ago.
They were indeed 70 euro .
I think that they are pretty good to be honest.
The subwoofer is quite powerful and the speakers are decent while being a bit vague in the mid frequencies.
For 50 euro they are a bargain though.
I listened to a set of Videologic ZXR-500 and Creative 5300 sets which cost about 130-150 euro and there wasnt a big difference in sound quality
The Lidl PC this week seems a very good spec.

I remember wondering if they were any good when the LIDL flyer came in too.

THey seem pretty powerful and at €50 you can afford to take half a risk on them.

...Cloud has a set, AFAIK, (although I think he paid E70 for them) and he seems to think they're fine...
