I am thinking about buying a Fujitsu Siemens Computer from Tesco. I it much cheaper (€1299) than any of the similar Dell Models.

Anyways are Fujitsu Siemens Computers Any good? Should I be concerned about buying one?

    Thanks in advance

If you want to waste 1300 euro buying a machine from them is a good idea :P

Alternatively, drop me 1300 euro and ill build you a kick ass system with a GF4 ti 4200 and a nice 17" monitor fully loaded with a 60GB hard disk 256mb DDR ram.

If ya like i can give ya a full quote.

    PM me if you wish.

    Regards,

    Paul

Yes, your money will be better spent with flamegrill or anyone else who is capable of putting together a system for you.

They're good business systems. Stable, quiet, neat, expensive.

For home use? Do you honestly want to pay 1300 for a system like that? Graphics are built in (=****), 1.8Ghz (You can get better now, especially for that price), Monitor is too small, Onboard audio (oh dear god no).

Really. Honestly. Get parts from Komplett or get someone here to build a PC for you. For that price, you can do a WHOLE lot better.

Yeah for home use. I think a 17" monitor and 1.8 GHZ should be fine for my needs. I am a bit concerned about the audio quality.

I will look into those who can build a PC for me.

Their Laptops are fantastic, but the home systems are a little basic and boringly average.

1300 euro will get you a decent machine from Lidl
    2000XP+ Processor
    256Mb DDR Ram
    80Gb Seagate HDD
    Asus GeForce4 Mx 460
    Onboard 5.1 Soundcard
Firewire Port and Smart Card Reader
    16X Toshiba DVD Drive
    40X Asus CD Rewriter
    56K Modem
    Pinnacle Video Editing Software.
    Windows XP.

You could pick up a 19 Inch Flatscreen CRT monitor there for 199 euro.
1300 euro for a pretty decent system.
Its the best you'll do without importing a system
I have a system similiar to this which I built myself and it is a very powerful PC.
Watford.co.uk are doing a great deal at the moment
    700 UK Pounds for a Pentium 4 2.2Ghz system ,about 1100 euro
    256Mb DDR RAM.
    80 Gb HDD
    16X DVD
    32 X CD-RW
    56K Modem
    GeForce4 MX 440
    19 Inch monitor
    5.1 Speaker system
Pretty great deal to be honest.

For €1300 you can get a lot better value for money.

A better quality system with more quality parts.

and in answer are fujitsu systems any good id say thay are but nit for that monet. If you are afraid to build one or get someone to build one for you then they can be ok a lot beter than the packard bell ones in dixons and places like that.

    But better to build one!

I have one bought it a year ago only one prob with it and that was the burner kept on breaking down but apart from that it is great. With a few tweaks with fine it came out a fine comp but if I was you and seeing komplett prices go with one of the lads and build a computer.
