Sound Card trouble

I recently installed a sound card on my Windows 2000 PC. The card is a Creative Soundblaster 1024 Live. The card is only compatible up to Windows 98 but I installed it anyway ignoring the 'not digitally signed' error. Funny enough there is no sound output. I found a 27Mb windows 2000 driver on SBLive.com but don't want to download it until I have exhausted other options.
    Any advice accepted.

Download it. if you dont want to spend 3hours downloadng it on your 56k try and go into a nice quick net cafe and they will do it and throw it on a cd for you.....providing they have a cd burner.
