Make it your business to be at Temple Bar Music Centre this Sunday 8th Sept as the hottest rock property in Los Angeles today - THE ICARUS LINE - sandwich between fellow Americans DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and SHAT for a non-nonsense bill of energetic guitar noise.

    THE ICARUS LINE

"...a timely riposte to the remedial nu-metal that plagues their native LA... The best music-to-crash-your-car-to you'll hear all year round..." Time Out

A band whose live shows' reputation precedes them; Los Angeles' youngest punks The Icarus Line are set to take Europe by storm with this their second full tour of this continent. Most commonly compared to Henry Rollins’ Black Flag and At The Drive-In, The Icarus Line are Joe Cardamone, Aaron North, Alvin De Guzman, Lance Arnao and Jeff Watson - a gang of school friends aged 20/21 who formed in 1998.

Now sharing management with At the Drive-In; The Icarus Line's debut album ‘Mono’ was released in the US in late 2001 to great acclaim with Courtney Love declaring that only The Strokes had released a better album last year.

The Icarus Line have in the short space of 6 months, amassed considerable critical acclaim for their first album, 'Mono' (released on Sweet Nothing Records) as well as their outstanding debut European tour. And now fresh from shows at the Reading and Leeds festivals, the band return to reaffirm their growing reputation and showcase some of the new songs they have been writing.

"...The Icarus Line - an almighty f***ing racket from LA that sounds like At The Drive-In throwing heavy things at The Jesus Lizard while The Stooges keep the cops busy outside." NME

“… their life performance is simply phenomenal.” Kerrang!

"...get their five K-rated 'Mono' album immeadiately even if you have to break into a record store..." Kerrang
