    On behalf of my Dad,

If you have installed XP on your computer, how can you get the spell checker to work on Outlook?

    Press F7

If you want it to check as you type it's

Tools-Options-Spelling and then tick the boxes you want

    Office XP your talking about?

    Thanks Occidental,

    But,

I think the problem is that the system was upgraded from Windows 95 to XP, and Office is still 95 version. For some reason the spell checker in Outlook now just dosent work.

I reckon my Dad should upgrade his office programs to XP instead of 95.

Are you sure about which version of Office you're using? Or are you using Outlook Express?

Outlook first came on the scene with Office 97. There was a free upgrade available about a year later to Outlook 98. There's no "Outlook 95".

Have a poke in Help--> About and get the Outlook version you're using.

If it turns out to be OL Express, try this
