caller id on mobile not working properly?

For the past 2 months I've been getting calls on my mobile from an unknown young lady on her mobile ... well, she told me her name a while ago but I've forgotten it.

Basically what I think is happening is some friend of hers is calling her, she is missing the calls and dialling the number showing up on her caller id, which is for some strange reason my number. I'm thinking this because it started off with me getting a barrage of "Can you call me" style messages that looked automated (they were all impersonal and the exact same format each time), she'd miss a call and perhaps her phone was set up to automatically send a message to get the person to call back, the person would call back, and another message would land in my inbox etc etc etc

I've exchanged text messages and a call or two (on occasions where she dials the missed call and gets me at the end), and told her what I think is going wrong, but it keeps happening, though I'm not all that bothered with the nuisance ....

What would cause this to happen is concerning me. I haven't got all much information from her end (other than a name I've forgotten!) about who it is she is trying to get through to, and what number she's dialling, mostly she's just apologetic and hangs up before I can interrogate her!

So, has anyone had this before or does anyone know what's going on? I've taken to only ever putting 10 euro credit on the phone, in case my sim has been cloned, though I don't really know what that would mean for me ... would they be using my credit. It doesn't seem so anyway, the money runs out as fast as usual!

    thanks,

    rob

This is the O2 "Call me" service, in which a customer keys in *103*086xxxxxxx# and presses send, this is a free service which sends the person thats number is entered a message saying "Could you call me please?" More info on this here.
As for your number coming up on her phone everytime some friend of hers is ringing, I dunno whats going on there, I'd say its some admirer of yours or something. Unless as you say, your sim has been cloned, in which case ring customer care to find out.
