    Hey all,

I got a Pioneer 6-CD Changer and have nowhere to put it except the glove box..which I suppose aint a bad thing!...

Now, what I am looking for is if anyone knows of someone selling foam inserts ( or even templates!) which EXACTLY fit the glovebox profile of a '98 Civic?

I know this is a pretty specialised item but damn, SOME freak must do them ;)

    Buy fur now,
    J.

Wouldn't wrapping the CD changer in foam ber a bad idea? They do have little motors which need to dump heat.

Or am I just talking ****e?

    Hey Borzoi,

Thanks for the consideration. The servo in these guys use the changer chassis as a heatsink indeed. The template I will be using shall be 90% backless and so will be able to disipate heat pretty much OK.

    Cheers,
    J

    Hey Merc,

    Thanks for that!

Its a CDX-P22 Changer. I was thinking of making a foam template which would position the changer at about 25Deg when the glove-box is closed... I hope that is within the tolerance of the unit.

If you could talk with someone in Pioneer, it would be great! Thanks man!
    James.
