a totally unrelated reply but just a comment which i was
gonna say sooner or later.

what we have above is a fair honest self-promotion
which i think is completely sound

but what it is i couldn't resist commenting on is those
"have you heard this band..." or "who sings that.....oh, i
know them" threads where someone is introducing us
to a mysterious band and letting us know their high opinion
of them.....they always seem to be newly registered,
the obvious giveaway being the number of posts to their name.
does it piss anyone off?....No, but it is bull**** and i'd
rather see an honest self promotion (and open for opinion)
message like above.

and good luck with the gig, i'll be beering in the mount st area
this friday so i may stumble across your way and come back
with an honest opinion!
