Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Problems Accessing boards.ie site, I get this weird message.

    Hi,
    I am having problems accessing boards.ie, this morning, last night and friday, i have the forums that i visit most often on Favorites, and when i click to down load them, i get this
    There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
    Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

    An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

    I hit the refresh button 3 times and nothing, i eventually got in by typeing boards.ie in the Address Bar,

    Is something wrong with the system or has it something to do with the, *marines were leaving* , it said there that the staff of boards.ie were moving to a new server, is that Correct ?

    Keep up the good job guys, this site is the best ever,

    I think anyway,

    Happened to me twice over the last week, thought it was just my PC, but this morning I have to refresh every page a few times before it loads properly.

    Yeah, its an MySqlD problem (afaik, Regi has been away for a good bit of the weekend and Xor is at a conference).

    We thought we had it nailed yesterday and it was fine for a while but its come back this morning. (Maybe Boards doesnt like mornings).

    Well get it sorted, meanwhile you *could* go visit the big blue room with the bright yellow bulb for a change :)

    It started around 3 AM last night after the site seemed dead for about 10 minutes. Someone mentioned that a log parser or something runs at 3 am and maxes out the CPU for a while ... as soon as things were back to speed the database errors kept appearing so perhaps they have something to do with that?

    If you good try and get if fixed as soon as possible it would be much appreciated, it is a nightmare, i have been trying to access pages for half an hour but to no avail,
