New Music Channel Launching

    Ozsat News Headlines says that there is a new music channel launching this week. Anyone know what it is?
    Satellite and digital, tv and radio headlines for Sunday 15th September 2002 - include:
    New adult channel launch for Sky Digibox users
    New music channel launching this week - but another closing
    Five new adult channels for NTLdigital viewers - 21 new channels in total
    'Radio Caroline' launches full WorldSpace service
    Programming for two 'Setanta' channels

    + tuning info for Eire variation channels, 'Premier League' and 'Nationwide League' channels (English subscribers only), 16 ITV regions and the very latest 'hidden' and 'test' television and radio channels - including extra English, Asian and Arabic services

    Yes, it's Chart Show TV. It's currently testing with music videos. As the name suggests, it will air chart shows! It will be the first with the official UK charts. Until now, it was always first on BBC Radio 1. From what I see, there will be a fair share of teleshopping too.

    It is supposed to broadcast Free-to-Air though I'll have to see it to believe it.

    Their website is bit plain but shows that shopping is going to be a big feature with this channel, i think... :(

    Though the 'blockyness' on the picture is awful at times, the picture seems to be fairly low resolution (similar to the MTV bouquet of channels), and they have an annoying habit of blending the ending of videos and start of the next video together.

    are these the club radio stations or is it something different

    you couldn't really call it a music channel though. i always forget about it anyway. it was in a much better position when it was in the 400's
