Dolby 5.1 ???

Dolby 5.1 output Is there anyway to test if the soundcard i have is working properly without having a suround sound speaker set connected, when I plug speakers in the three outputs, (rear, front and centre, I only get sound from front output, does this mean , the others arent working?????

depends on what you're playing... make sure the dvd is dolby digital 5.1

oops to add to that.. shouldn't make a difference how many speakers are connected.. but if its playing 5.1 properly then you should hear voice only from the centre channel...
