    Not a recent scribbling of mine, dunno if it's even a decent one... but here it is in all it's... er.... - well, here it is...

    Awakening

    Where was I - just now ..- in my dreams?
    Images once vivid, ripped at the seams,
    Was I with you, sharing passion's heat?
    Two hearts together - one single beat.

    A fire, still burning - which never can go out,
    A heart ever yearning - a mind wiped of doubt,
    A tear slowly trickles past a mouth too sad to speak,
    And onwards now - tickles, a saddened face's cheek.

    When all I have is in my dreams
    They're all that pull me through,
    And more so every day it seems
    That all I want is you.

    But dreams are fine - they have their place,
    Reality calls - and leaves me faced
    With fresh decisions, choices to make
    - And not just for this one day's sake;
    A life to build - a start to make -
    A hope now of the part you'll take
    My love for you can never die
    I can't pretend, nor can I lie

    When heavens rumble and clouds release
    A showery tumble on man and beast
    When the skies do crack with lightning white
    And it's looking like Earth's final night
    Know that you'll still hold my heart
    Even still, through times apart
