    Everybody,
Apologies for the shameless plug but it may be of interest to people here.

The UCC Philosophical Society shall be hosting a debate on the nice treaty on Monday 7th October in the Boole 4 lecture theatre from 7:30.

An introductory address will be given by Mark Little of RTE.

Then speaking on the motion "That this house would vote yes to the nice treaty" - we have.

    Proposition.
-Micheal Martin TD - Minister for Health and Children
-Dr. Garret Fitzgerald - Former Taoiseach

    Opposition
-Anthony Coughlan - Secretary, National Platform
    -Caoimhghin O'Caoilain - Sinn Fein

Even though the meeting itself begins at 7:30 the society usually dispenses with some entertaining private business first and we would envisage the main debate starting at 8:00. However we envisage a large crowd so it would be a good idea to be there early.

All are welcome........ it promises to be a good night.

    Thanks

    Derek Lande
