Here's a funny one. My printer won't print B/W. Colour works fine. The cartridge is full, the nozzles aren't blocked and I've even tried reinstalling to no avail. Can't see a physical problem. Any ideas anyone. It's a Lexmark Z32. Cheers

Does the test page have no black on it?

If so I'd be tempted to suggest you try another ink cartidge to ensure yours is not bogey.

I know that with an Epson it will create a composite black (gray really) from the 3 colours in the colour cart once the black runs out....my friend ignores the light that TELLS him it ran out

it reverts to black from the black once he pops it in. You may have a situation where it did not revert.
