What I recomend is a fixed price range and recommended retail price to be printed or shown on items of food, hardware, drinks and service.

Take for example a snickers that 5 years ago had a price of 28 Pence and it was clearly printed on the rapper of the chocloate bar.

How much does a snickers cost today? 70Euro 80 Euro?

We face some dark times unless inflation and public finances are brought into line.

This Country is facing an economic crossroads not unlike the 70s, if the current gov makes the wrong chocies we will face more bleajk prospects, rising unemployemnt and soaring government defecit.

Ireland shoudl try to fall in line with more modest
Eu economic growth rates. Between 3-4% but only if the escalating public finances are sorted out by FF, the gov may have to remove the special savings scheme taht will cause a further rise in inflation and taxes.

Foreign Companies and Firms no longer want to Vist Ireland Now Europes SECOND most expensive nation.
Higher charges for state services like insurance, Corp Tax and ESB and are adding to inflation. The Central Bank has warned Bertie that Irish prices have reached the limit of what is now tolerable.

Why is inflation running out of control and reaching limits of more than twice the Euro Zones Average?

Should Bertie now take the big chains to court, supermarkets, Restaurants, Electricity, Pubs , Busses that have put huge pressure on this countrys economy. It's the fat Cats in Supermarkets and Pubs that should suffer for what they have done to Ireland.

It really is sad to see how the linguistic mismanagement of our new currency's name continues to confuse people.

A Snickers costs seventy cents or eighty cents. It certainly doesn't cost seventy euros or eighty euros! In terms of formatting with digits, you could write the above as €0.70 or €0.80, or simply 70¢ or 80¢.
