    Hi

A question for any of the more technically minded out there. Does anyone know how you can record music from a digibox to a PC ?

If it's just audio you're after, you want to buy a lead with a phono connection on one end, and whatever connection your line-in on your computer's sound card takes (probably a standard 3.5mm jack plug) on the other.

Connect the phono plugs to the back of the digibox (be sure to match the socket and plug colours correctly), then plug the other end into the line-in socket on your sound card.

You'll then need to download something like CD Wave to record the audio onto your hard disk.

also download an app that will covert the .wav files to mp3s to reduce the amount of space taken up.

I'd also recommend GoldWave (www.goldwave.com), if the proper codecs are installed it can also save to MP3.

A big thank you. :D I downloaded Cd wave and after a bit of head scratching got it working ( had the cables going from the digibox to a digi amp then to my PC thinking that the signal needed a pre amp. Now I have it going straight to the PC). Just goes to show what this forum can and should be, a place to exchange information.

    Cheers
