Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thanks for the reply Tony. Would an 88cm Triax be much better?

not really much of a difference although the better quality dishes like triax and channel master tend to be more efficient. Try using a good low noise lnb also.

    Good luck

Sure, but i think its of more importance to use a LNb that is designed with your dish in mind...

Im sorry i cannot offer you any proper help as i have no satellite equipment here.

Channel Master dishs have specific LNbf's made for them and they absolutely maximise the surface area of this dish.

Its a great crime to but a 1.0/1.2 and even greater dish to just fix a standard LNb to it which will not see the complete reflector and defeats their entire purpose of a bigger dish.

thats true but the 80cm is designed with standard universal lnbs in mind, even the 1.2 does not show any measurable difference between using the CM feedhorn and a standard lnb

    Something learned then.
I cannot speak with any confidence about Telecom 2C so i am of little use here.

I think noise, albeit the lack of noise will be your problem.
You are aiming for a Satellite with a weak beam and left and right those Satellites will not even register any signal on a 1M dish.

I mean..for a bird like 16E a low noise LNb is critical as you have nulcear power @ 13/19 and somewhere in between that noise, you have 16.

    I hope you nail it.
