While surfing last night a download options box thingy appeared asking me to download a dialler for some porn site. I refused of course and clicked cancel but one of those little boxes with the ! sign on them appeared. The text of the message was in German and I had no cancel option so I had to press OK. When I did I noticed that this thing had attempted to start downloading via my download accelerator. I highlighted it and pressed remove but is it possible it could still be on my PC charging god knows what for normal surfing? Thanks.
BTW it had 0% of the programme downloaded but I just want to be on the safe side
