Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just installed TPF on my machine, it seems a good firewall, easy enough to use, doesn't put too much strain on the old computer. The only thing is that i am getting a load of incoming packets requesting to open a port

Some examples include abo.wanadoo.fr and skanova.bredband.com

How do i know which packets to deny and which ones to accept?

If you aren't offering services(http server, ftp server, p2p programs) block all incoming SYNs, as they aren't doing you any favours. if you are, you'll have to open up their respective ports, (80, 21, RTFM)

Personally, i haven't tried Tiny, but zone labs' Zonealarm pro program is pretty good.
