Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No, e-mail and campaign away (I'll even join you), but don't expect them to give a flying **** what the fans think. Staying away from matches would be great if you could get some support for it, but unfortunately most people don't give a damn and go anyway. Still, if we have a few more results like last night Landsdowne won't be the place to be seen for much longer.

ok I know we're a long way off from getting a new manager but I'd like to know what people would expect ?

    Here's what I think :

    1) Get the team back on track and winning games.
    2) Deal with the Roy Keane issue (come back or not).
    3) Sort out the FAI, higher standards of operation and professionalism.
    4) Win world cup ;)

    Candidates :
    ?

    To Mike,

Yep, on the news yesterday. Local business folk are building a covered 30, 000 all-seater football stadium with a swimming pool (Olympic size) and training facilities. Running tract too, I think. Newry Town!! We've spent enough for 2 stadiums on Abbotstown and not one sod or brick has been laid yet! Makes you feel proud to be "Oirish" eh?

Mick McCarthy must go now - if he lasts for another month (and hes stubborn as a mule- hell need to be pushed....unfortunately no one at FAI seems to have the balls to do it ) then hell get into the relatively "easy" 4 games against georgia and albania - personally i dont think well get full points from those games, but two home wins will give McCarthy and the FAI breathing room again before the return leg thumpings well get off Russians and the Swiss.

If he goes now and a decent manager is installed in his place, Keano is coaxed back then we have 8 games left and we *can* possibly get into 2nd place and sneak through in fine irish style.

O Leary is certainly a name to be mentioned. Sure, hes got his problems - the McPhail issue certainly - but hes managed international class players in the Premiership and the Champions League (whereas McCarthy has failed to qualify for 2 out of three tournaments and is well on his way to missing a 3rd) and he has a history of bringing youth through into the first team.

McCarthy should be shot... as should the majority of the prícks in the FAI.
