Will New(er) Celeron work in older Mobo?

    Would a 1.2Ghz Intel Celeron work in a 3yr old motherboard that shipped with a Celeron333? It's a generic Packard Bell Mobo, no make or model unfortunately.

    Nope, purely because that 333mhz celeron runs on a 66mhz bus, and the 1.2 celeron runs on a 100mhz bus. Unless they gave you a bx board with that machine, which is highly unlikely, the board will not be capable of running at 100mhz. If it was a bx board, you can get an adapter from powerleap which will let you run the chip ok.
