I remember being tweleve years old and being in a situation with a sixteen year old, that had I been three years older, I would most certainly have exploited. Damn, still, I reckon t'would have been a bit perverse at tweleve years old. I'm still shocked that over one third of respondants say they still have their cherries. Maybe it's just the sort of friends I had, or schools I went to, but by about sixteen it was considered 'wierd' for guys in my social circle not to have bedded at least one chick.

Then again I went to coed,secular schools all my life (thank god).

it shouldnt be about when you do it, at what age, its a load of tripe to say you should be 16 or whatever. most people i know or hung around with at 16 were in no way emotionally or mentally able or ready. then again, i do believe everyone's different. but i do know plenty of people who havent had sex, in fact a higher proportion of my close friends havent had sex than have, and i still have friends who are 19/20 who havent even kissed someone. and no, they dont have humpbacks, buck teeth or are weird medical anomalies. and my friends who have, for the most part slept with people they are in long term relationships with, whom they love and respect and wanted to wait to sleep with. everyones different. and i dont think a lot of it has to do with being catholic. i have pretty strong morals and dont agree with things i read in magazines like cosmo where people have sex with people they dont know all over the gaff. you have to have some respect for yourself above all. bottom line. there's no such thing as too old, really.

with regards to seraphina's post, i think its only natural for girls to feel pain when they first have sex, and for the next few times. and the first time, the hymen is broken if its still intact, so thats gotta be painful. i thought this was common knowledge (people jumping to sodomy allegations....OUCH!!!!!!!!)

i would imagine the average age for guys to lose it is that little bit lower than girls? i know the group of people i hang around with are divided about 60/40 non virgins-virgins, but if i was answering this a year ago, it would have been about 20/80!! and yeah, most of my friends waited until their first long term boyfriend/girlfriend.

Ah it happend when i was a young lad of 18, it was after a college ball, with copius amounts of alcohol had and it wasnt the best experience. Glad to say though things have improved greatly in the 5 years since.
