<Shinji> it's been confirmed now, and michael shanks is onboard as well
<Shinji> plus they have funding for the first movie, with the series ending of S7 leading straight into the first movie
<Shinji> mike mate of mine is a tv journalist so he's on the MGM press releases list, says that just came through as an embargoed release

Ah sure tis good news but as far as I've heard Richard Dean Anderson a.k.a. Jack O'Neill will only be part-time in Season 7.

Still though, roll on series 7 and countless more movies yay!

I hope they don't ruin the movie, it'll be a hard act follow up on considering how good the first movie was

the series is based on this film..
it's the story of the o neills first journey through the gate, and how they killed RA , how daniel came to live on abados, bleh bleh bleh

have it on dvd, is good if a bit long winded at times

Michael Shanks = Daniel Jackson (of the series).

Also, MGM have issued another statement saying season7 still isn't 100% certain & confirmed, ffs

A series 7 with Michael Shanks w'd be the best news I've heard on Stargate in a while. He was in the "Abyss" in a one-off episode, and made it the most interesting one in the 6th series.

Nah i disagree. I'd be a bit worried about season 7 if he returned - how would they incorporate both him and Jonas ? I prefer the character of Jonas over Daniel anyhow.

Abyss was a good episode although there are a couple in S6 which i'd rate over it.
